No nosewheel steering

Post by strat919 »

Just purchased the 182...... I am running p3dv4.1. I installed the latest a2a update 10_12_17 and the nose wheel is totally dead. Any ideas? I read the other posts and the update doesn't work for me:( No problem with non A2A planes.......

Hello,

What happens when you run the Accu-sim updater?

Did you install into the correct place following the Accu-sim C182 Installers step by step instructions?

Are your pedals all mapped correctly for the Accu-sim C182 simulation and are you using brakes to aid with the tighter turns?

thanks

I installed 182 to default directory. When I run the Accu-sim updater, it says it updates. Rudder works fine, but not the nose wheel. I have the pedals mapped to rudder axis in p3d. I mapped the rudder trim to the rudder axis in the configurator. That didn't make any difference and I disabled it back to default. I have the 182 for fsx installed...... would that make any difference? Any ideas to try?

One thing I noticed... when I enable auto rudder the nose wheel works. Maybe that will ring a bell?

Have you checked maint hanger that the aircraft is all fit for flight, are you using brakes to help with the turning as needed in the 182?

Ok......I've tried a few things and have found out it has to do with the Saitek Pro rudder pedals. The rudder pedals work correctly with all planes except the A2A 182. I can assign the A2A 182 rudder to any other axis on any other device and it works correctly. Just not the rudder pedals. Any ideas? I did download and install the latest drivers for the pedals, but didn't help.

Are you using FSUIPC? Do you have your controls turned on in the sim?

I'm using the C172 and I do to have nose wheel steering. The rudder works but not the nose wheel. Help fix. The nose wheel steering works in all other aircraft.

Hello,

have you run the latest updater to make sure your software is up to date?

Hi.
The C172 and c182 only steer on tight turns with differential brakes , and only partially steer with rudder only.

Yes, I've run the updater but no difference. There is clearly something wrong with the model. It doesnt work with rudder peddles, stick twist or keyboard.

It is absolutely 100% reflective of the real world! If you've flown a Cessna 172 or 182 then you would know this.

Yes the 182T we used for flight testing matches the sim exactly, we have our own test flight procedure for this purpose.
