A2A planes spinning in cirlces

Post by CrazyGleek »

Very strange problem. When first moving to taxi, all of my A2A aircraft start spinning in place. The T6 immediately destroys itself. The problem started about a week ago under P3D v4.0. I did an update to P3D thinking that P3D may have been corrupted. I am now on P3Dv4.1 with no change to the A2A aircraft behavior. C182, Piper Comanche and T6 all do the same thing. Default aircraft, Milviz and Carenado do not have the problem.

Whats up?

Hi,

Install the latest updater, found here:

http://www.a2asimulations.com/downloads ... _12_17.zip

It is made to address P3D v4.1

Will,

This started under 4.0/ It continues with 4.1 and the updater has been run. No joy.

Hi,

Did you run the AccuSim updater after you upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1?

CrazyGleek,

Sounds like some part of your installation of P3Dv4 isn't properly updated to v4.1 standard. Please can you double-check the installed version numbers as shown here and here?

Thanks,
Nick

Again

This was happening in 4.0. yes I have run the updater. A2A planes are still spinning in circles when starting forward motion.

Nick,

I did look at the about screen and the number matches what is displayed on your screen capture. That surprised me in that I had run the 4.1.7.22841 update from Lockheed. I ran the update again and had the same result. Is 4.0.blar the current release? What is going on?

Thanks, _CrazyGleek

Did you remove the 4.0 client first? As I understand that needs to be removed before upgrading the client to 4.1.

CrazyGleek - yes, it definitely sounds like your P3Dv4 installation isn't properly updated to v4.1. As Oracle says, you must uninstall the existing client and content components before installing the new versions. More details in this post on the Avsim forums.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks everyone,

Deleting the client manually and re-installing the client only solved the problem. I would have thought that LM would have done that in the installer, guess not. Now my GNS/GTN systems are dead. Off to fix that issue.

Cheers,
