In any case this kills the debugging for V3 {for now}.. since there seems to be an internal Nav1 problem ???
Okay - that's a very useful observation and it definitely seems to suggest that something is invoking a NAV1 'failure'. Do you have a custom default flight for P3DV3? If so, I recommend you delete it (you can always make a backup first) and start again with the original startup flight.

planes but never the P3D's ? Should I load one first before the A2A 182 ?
Yes, good practice is generally to load a default aircraft in P3D, before you switch to a complex add-on. Having one of the A2A planes saved as part of the default flight can definitely cause issues.

Nick

Okay, I definitely suggest you delete your custom default flight in that case; the sim should just revert to the original startup flight.

Also, do you use any add-on software like Air Hauler 2 or FSEconomy?

Thanks,
Nick

Okay, let us know if it helps. :)

After looking into this a bit further, it appears the on/off switch on the individual radio sets works in part by setting their state to 'failed'. Therefore, for your P3D installation, I suspect there is some sort of mismatch going on, possibly caused by the default flight.

If the problem persists, I advise you double check the "radios" page of the P3D failure menus. If this is the problem, I think just power cycling the on/off switch on the KX 155A may be worth a try.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi !

On P3D V3 , there are no failures set up ... I re-checked the radios ...

but this just showed !??

http://barriemacleod.com/1-2017/A2A/warning.JPG

The link supplied doesn't work and I ran Spad as Admin but the power problem still shows up...

For my FIPS I have an external USB setup with 6 ports being used...
I've disconnected all of those including the radio panels...
I'm only using one FIP now for the HSI... and it's plugged into the pc...

A guy over here is talking about:
""On my sim I plug the yoke and pedals directly into the PC, USB 2.0 ports.""
""The rest of the Saitek units are plugged into powered USB hubs with at lease 500ma for each unit.""

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/4860 ... nel-units/

So just in case I unplugged everything..

Didn't quite understanfd this ?
""power cycling the on/off switch on the KX 155A may be worth a try.""

ie: no on/off switch ?

Thanks !!

ps: That warning showed up "after" I tried plugging my Saitek radio panel directly into the PC..
It's since removed also.

As regards the power management issue, you could see if this link is any help: http://uraster.com/en-us/products/usben ... abler.aspx.

The power switch for each NAV/COMM radio is on the left hand of the unit: I believe the knob is the volume control on the real thing, but just acts as an on/off switch here.

Cheers,
Nick

P.S. Did you try deleting your existing default flight?
