I just had crash running prepar3d v4 on
intel core i5-6600 cpu @3.30GHz with an nvidia GeForce GTX 950
Also running Active Sky for prepar3d with cloud art
This happened 3 out of 4 runs each crash was associated with pressing the reduced magnification on the stock GPS in the A2A Cessna 182
I will also post this on the prepar3d forums.

Looking at the faulting module and your description it does sound like a P3D platform crash.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: crash when pressing zoom out on GPS after 2 hours of fli
Thanks for the info, I am not as well versed as some on the forum about reading these error reports I have posted this on the prepar3d forum as well. I was able to do a complete flight I just avoided messing with the gps too much.Lewis - A2A wrote:Looking at the faulting module and your description it does sound like a P3D platform crash.

A huge Thank You to you and the rest of the A2A team for putting so much work into getting these planes set up for Prepar3d V4. A2A will always be my first choice for aircraft.

Its quite easy to read, essentially you can ignore a bunch of it and concentrate on the parts it lists a directory. For example;
FYI you can sometimes get around such errors though, so try a new flight, not a saved one and see how you get on.

coupled with the next one;Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Prepar3D.exe
Would point towards a platform or system issue. What I tend to do is just google the latter one if its a dll that is not one of ours. Though not all results will be relevant they will all tend to give a rough idea of the issue. In this case its sounds like some C++ dll part within P3D itself is throwing a bit of a fit for you.Fault Module Name: ucrtbase.dll
