P3D V4 Installers...

Post by aeronauta »

The P3D V4 installers overwrite the previous install, if I install say the 182 by the LM way Iit installs ok , then I install the 180 and it installs in a clean A2A folder wiping out the 182 , if after installing the 182 I change the folder to A2A_182 then the 180 installs to a folder called A2A , this will be wipedd off by the next install..

In any case the .xml file will not work as it has the same add-on name A2A .

I had all planes installed to one folder. All working fine. I guess tha it pretend that you will install them to same location. I bet that problem is with addon library name in addon xml. P3D expect unique names and if it find more with same name it will use one with highest priority - last instaled one will be latest in addon cfg file. You can fix it by manually editing addon xml and make addon library name unique

Hello,

as noted in the installer all A2A Aircraft need to be installed into the same directory. We made sure to make sure everything is explained in the installer.

thanks,

Is the installer for the earlier P3d versions an update?

No, you still will need the latest updater for that, I think.

I already have the 182 installed in P3d v 3.4. My question is whether the latest installer, which asks whether you want it installed in v 3.4 or v4, will update the already installed v. 3.4 aircraft. In other words, is there anything new in the latest installer for the earlier versions of P3d?

Hello,

there is only a v3 and a v4 installer that install the two different platform software.

Right, I realize that. My question is whether to new installer for v 3.4 is an upgrade on the previous v 3.4 installer? Is there anything new?

There is no new v3 installer just the addition of the v4 software to the download.
