Hello;
Im having a problem,I have the Comanche installed in Prepar 3D V3,and have no problems,but when I try installing the C182 Skylane,it installs ok,but not able to slect any thing in the aircraft configuration tool,Ive tried to install it as administrator,and just installing,had the same result.I have PFPX Chase Plane installed,thought that might have some thing to do with this,but un-installed it,and have the same result.
Im running Prepar 3D V3 as the administrator,its running im Windows 10,the latest version,with all the updates.
Thank you;
Mark Wyckoff

Re: Problem with Installation;
Hello Mark - have you downloaded and run the latest Accu-Sim update from here after installing the 182? If not, that's the first thing to try.
Thanks,
Nick

Okay, thanks Mark. Please can you try deleting the update folder for the 182...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\A2A\Cessna182\Update_p3d
...And then re-running the latest Accu-Sim update as admin.

Hello;
I just tried that,and had the same result,this is strange,why it works for one aircraft,and not the other.
Thank you;

Re: Problem with Installation;
Yes, seems a bit odd doesn't it.
Can you let us know what your full installation path is for your copy of P3D? Also, can you let us know exactly what change you're trying to make with the aircraft configurator and what behaviour you're seeing from the program when you do.
Maybe worth navigating to the folder which contains the application (by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\A2A\Cessna182\Tools) and right-clicking the "C172 Aircraft Configurator.exe" in there and selecting "run as administrator" too.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Problem with Installation;
Hello,
can you let us know the exact issue I am not sure I follow?
You mention the aircraft config tool, what exactly are you trying to achieve, add a GPS for example?
A reinstall will rarely fix common things and it can cause more issues and frustrations. I would recommend slowing down so we can better troubleshoot with you. It does sound like you need to delete all traces including the 182 updater folder, reinstall and then restart your system and then re-apply the latest updater. The Accu-sim updater must be applied after an aircraft installation.
thanks,
Lewis
