Left brake sticking

Post by chadryan »

I'm having an issue with all 4 A2A GA planes. The left brake seems to be stuck partially on. This does not happen if I load the default Cessna, only the A2A planes.

The left pedal in the sim does not appear to be pressed down at all and if I test it using my rudder pedals the animation is normal (goes through full range of motion).

There is no BRAKES or DIFFERENTIAL BRAKES indication in the sim when it is stuck either, I can just hear the squeaking brakes and the plane pulls violently to the left when attempting to taxi.

Any ideas?

Check the maintenance hangar for issues.

This started happening to all 4 GA planes at once. Maintenance hangar is fine for all of them.

I believe the toe brakes in the A2A aircraft may respond a little differently to hardware inputs when compared to default aircraft chadryan. One thing you could try is downloading and running a little A2A tool I linked in this post; it should enable you to see exactly what braking response you're getting (as a percentage) as you depress your brake pedals.

The solution may be as simple as re-calibrating the toe-brake axes on your rudder pedals.

Cheers,
Nick

I was able to resolve this by setting up the brakes in FSUIPC rather than FSX
