Shift + 1,2, etc not working

Hi. I have lost the Shift +1,2,3, etc functions. I am using the FSX Gold Edition and have re-loaded the service program for both the FSX and Acceleration. The 2D slider is set on 0 as advised but I can not get the Shift +1,2,3, etc functions to operate, HELP.

Hi Lewis. No other changes occured prior to Shift +1,2, etc not working. Previously it had been necessary for me to uninstall and reload FSX, Acceleration DVDs and A2A download. All functions of FSX are working 100%. Hope this is of some help.

I believe you said that you applied a service pack 1? Why did you apply the service pack as doing so will cause a problem. Acceleration has all the service packs already installed. If you only applied pack 1, you may have downgraded the software. You should try applying service pack 2 again.

Hi Lewis. I may have mislead you, what I did was to re-run FXS and Acceleration Repair program, after which the report back stated that the Repair had been successfully done.

The Shift+ buttons are all default FSX commands. Sounds like your controls file Standard .xml may have become corrupted. and a repair install won't fix that.

Go into the FSX menus and revert all the controls to default. NOTE: You will lose all customised commands from within the menu, so you may want to backup your Standard .xml file first.

The other thing that will revert that file is to delete the FSX.cfg and allow the sim to build a new one on next install.
