Pre Flight Checks Cessna Skylanr A/C

Post by MACHAVIA »

Hello All,

Can any one advise?_ - Assume no actual Pre Flight Checks (Walk Round) can be accomplished on the above A/C unlike the A2A C172 which appears to have that function ?

Can any one advise ref the Auto Pilot on the C182 which has two buttons I have not seen on other variants on A/Pilot control panels on other Cessna Variats, they are "ARM" & "STATIC" what /when do you enable arm ?

Thank You as always for kind assistance
Best Regards

Hi

you should have the same functions regarding walk around on the C182 as on the 172 and I believe the Bendix stack is exactly the same in these to.
Do you have the C172?
Kind Regards
Tomas

Hi
Yes I have the hangar facility where I can check the engine etc,I am talking about the pre flight check is checking flaps / elevators checking flap drives etc etc, if it's there I do not see it in any menus, can you tell me how to get to that virtual walk around the aircraft menu / function.

Thanks
Charlie

As has previously been stated you should have the walkaround facility also.I suggest you read the manual.

Charlie,

By default, shift + 8 will take you to the pre-flight inspection menu (the engine must be shut down beforehand). The function works exactly the same as in the A2A C172.

There's a link to the KAP 140 autopilot manual in this thread. Not sure where you're seeing that "static" button though. :? Do you mean "arm" and "baro"? These buttons aren't modelled in the default MS C172SP, but their functions are described in the manual linked above. A quick PDF guide to operating the KAP 140 is available here too, if it helps.

Cheers,
Nick
