I had to uninstall and reinstall my A2A C182, one of my favorite aircrafts
Some add-on screwed it totally up, nothing was working any more.
I did a complete restore of my FSX-SE drive in order to get rid of any add-ons that might be the culprit.
Unfortunately the C182 did not recover. So I tried to uninstall. Unfortunately I could not uninstall via Control panel because it told me it is already uninstalled.
So I deleted the C182 folders in
F:\Microsoft Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\A2A\Cessna182 and
F:\Microsoft Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\A2A_C182
After reinstallation I did a test flight and everything seemed to work OK.
Then I wanted to activate the GTN 750 in VC. However without success. The F1GTN Configurator shows the A2A 182 as ticked. The A2A C182 configurator shows me the choice of Flight1 but not as usual, the choices between 650 and 750.
I got the latest updates of the A2A C182
Installed everything with Antivirus, malawarebytes, Defender disabled,
Ran everything as admin
Garmin and GTN750 correctly installed - it works in all other A2A aircrafts in the VC cockpit. Running the latest versions of GTN750 and Trainer.
I am pretty certain that it has something to do with an incomplete uninstall of the C182 due to lack of knowledge.
My system: Windows 10 Home / FSX steam on separate SSD.
I would appreciate some help on the issue. Thanks in advance

Re: Unable to activate GTN750 in VC after uninstall - reinst
Hi Alfi,
I'd recommend you restart your PC then delete the following folder...
F:\Microsoft Games\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\A2A\Cessna182\Update
...Before re-runnng the latest Accu-Sim update, just to make sure it has installed successfully. To ensure a full 'clean' install you should also delete the Cessna 182 folder in the "My Document\A2A" directory.
Thanks,
Nick

Glad you're back in business Alfi. I'm not part of A2A (just another customer/forum member) but thanks for the kind words.
Cheers,

Good to hear your up and running, the great thing about using forums for support is exactly this, it allows some of the more common issues and or problems users might face can be easily answered quickly by essentially anyone.
