Dear Sir,
I bought the 182 yesterday.
I am unable to start the engine.
I tried CTRL-E it cranks a few times and then dies.
I tried manually with no avail.
Please help.
thank you

Re: Unable to start the engine
Hello and welcome to the forums,
we will need a little further information on what the issue is. For example is the aircraft pre-flighted with a walk around and checked it is fit for flight prior to engine start. Does the payload manager show the correct loaded liquids/fuel and is the maintenance hangar clear of issues?
Also are you all updated with the latest Accu-sim updater and is your simulation configured as set out in the product manual for correct use?
thanks,
Lewis

Re: Unable to start the engine
Hi.
Sounds like the fuel selector is in the fully aft position , this is off position , left is left tank, right is right tank, fully fwd is both tanks which should be the position its in , then make sure mixture is in and pump primed with pressure showing on gauge , prior to starting.
regards alan.

And check you have fuel. And check you have followed the checklist.
And check you have done the walkround. And check the fuses
And check your default flight - the aircraft should be first loaded from the default flight - whichever sim you have.
And check you have patched to the latest version.
That should get you going.

Re: Unable to start the engine
Thank you all for the information.
I made it work after going through the maintenance.
Now I have another issue.
FSX crashes after about 10 minutes when I am using the 182. It does not happen with any other plane.
I have windows 10 and all updates installed.
thank oyu

Hello,
how does the crash happen, any messages?
Are you all updated?
And lastly, what does your system event log state after the crash?
thanks,
Lewis
