Issues with the strobe lights and beacon

Post by nowickim »

I have a small issue with the exterior lights. At times the only way the beacon works is if I either turn on landing, taxi or the nav lights. The problem that I am having with the strobe lights, is that when I turn the strobe lights on, all of the other exterior lights turn into strobe lights.

That sounds odd. Are you on FSX or P3D? I don't see the issue you report. I can switch them all on independently. The flickering of the external lights however in connection with the Strobe Lights is a problem within FSX that is presently being researched. Not sure whether there is a quick fix.

Thanks for the quick reply
I'm running fsx, and yes I can switch all of them on independently except for the beacon.

Did you re-run the Fixer after you installed the new aircraft? This is a must do operation to update any new light effects.

Have you run the config like normal after installing a new aircraft to convert files etc?
