ap huge vertical oscillations.

Post by briansommers »

I was told to bring my min/max up/down draft in ASN Next to a lower level, this worked for a little bit then it started again.

Can you let us know if this is P3D or FSX?

Do you encounter this without your weather program turned on?

And lastly do you have any other global add ons and what not?

Thanks,
Lewis

ok.. solid as a rock with no wx engine.

then I turned it back on and it was ok. It bounced around a bit, but all ok.

So I have no idea.. maybe it truly was just very bad turb. I know that a/p can't hold when its that bad and maybe this is just what it really was doing.

I'll keep puttering around with it.

A great bird for sure. very nice.

Yes, the aircraft should be treated like the real deal, so watch those weather reports!

Also keep in mind that the newest version of Active Sky Next added a wind turbulence feature. The stronger the winds are, the more often you will be hit with "wind turbulence". I'd guess you were hitting this wind turbulence and the AP was compensating.

One nice thing about ASN is you can view the debug window (under Tools I think) and it will show you exactly what effects are acting on your aircraft at that precise moment. So if you see your AP oscillating or any other odd behavior, check the debug window in ASN and see if there's anything like turbulence, updrafts/downdrafts, wake turbulence etc that you might be encountering.

all seems good now. I logged 2.9 hours last night and the ap was solid as a rock.

I wasn't aware of the debug tool, I'll check into that next time.

consider this thread solved/non issue
