Windshield defroster

Post by Fly182 »

Hi! In which situation it works? I tried several weather setups but i was not able to freeze the windows (and thus use the defreezing knob)

Thanks!

Hi there,

The defroster is not to remove ice from the windshield but fog/condensation. If you want to test this set the plane at the parking position and put 4 occupants in it. Make sure the doors and windows are closed and wait a little bit. Maybe like 5-10 minutes. The windshield should fog up. Then start the engine and put the defroster on. And the windshield will clear up again.

Happy flying
