Something Really Weird...

I just installed the C182T (P3Dv4) in my new computer and I noticed something really weird, - the dash board hours counter (by the co-pilots position) shows a value of 4001 hours!!!
I took a look at c:\users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4\SimObjects\A2A_C182\state.txt and it shows "accumulated_time=0.807701".
I don't think that text file controls the running hours value like it does for other airplanes.
Then, what controls the running hours of the C182T?

I will un-install the software and re-install it again to see if, this time, gives a real value instead.
In the meantime, can anyone tell me if they have ever run into the same situation I have?
Thank you,
George

It is normal to start with a used aircraft after install. 4000+ hours is very normal on an aircraft that has been flown very frequently for a decade.

In order to zero out the time, just do a complete overhaul in the maintenance hangar.

Hello George,

First a little warning, a reinstall of software it highly not recommended unless advised to do, you can cause a lot of frustration for yourself in troubleshooting if you remove and reinstall software rather than troubleshoot before getting to the reinstall step.

What you experienced is quite normal as Oracle mentions, and you can start with another used option using the used button or brand new with a complete start fresh.

thanks
