Moving to a New Machine

Post by CessnaSkypilotN7365W »

Hi. I currently have the C182 installed on what will soon be my old gaming machine. How do I install this plane onto the new machine when it gets put together? I assume I have to uninstall it on the old one so A2A knows it is no longer on there, or do i?

Don't want to lose her...

Thanx,
Roger

ps... FSX on Windows 7

Hello,

just run the installer on your new system and you should be good to go. Don't forget the updater too.

thanks,
Lewis

Thanks Lewis. I read somewhere, but can't remember, there is a file I have to save to transfer the current usage and condition over also, right?

Sorry about the stupid questions. I am attempting to build a decent machine but truthfully, my glory days with computers stopped with NT lol
This new stuff boggles me sometimes.

Roger

Don't worry about asking questions Roger.

The file you'll need to copy over if you want to transfer your aircraft's accumulated airframe/engine hours and 'state' is the C182Slog.dat. It can be found in "My Documents\A2A\FSX\Cessna182".

Hope the PC build goes smoothly...

Cheers,
Nick
