Fix for Vac

Post by abh_jc_03 »

Is there a fix for the random Vac L R error when starting aircraft? I have to keep restarting FSX and it gets quite frustrating.

When I get into a A2A aircraft after starting in the default trike, I occasional issues where engines start up but the vac light annunciator lights up. I can then no longer move the aircraft, so I have restart FSX and hope that when I try again, it works.

Have you checked the maintenance hangar to ensure that the vacuum pump is in good shape? Are you idling at 1000 rpm?

Also have you downloaded and applied the Accusim updates?

The vacuum pump won't prevent an aircraft from moving. If the engine is running and you add throttle it does not move at all?

If so, that sounds like your flight simulator might be having problems with Simconnect. Are you ever seeing a green bar at the top of the screen announcing a problem with Simconnect.

You can try running the Simconnect installer to see if that fixes any corruption as that can happen from time to time. This is also prone to happen if you jump between many aircraft or reload multiple flights instead of shutting down and relaunching the sim.

Such strange things are happening. I used to get the simconnect error. Restarting connection. I use FSUIPC all my axises work. I haven't got them again yet and still controls wofk. I have flown the a2a 182 fine. I used to be able to fly the 180 and Comanche but now within a few minutes I get a CTD. I am confused though because FSX needs simconnect. I went to my programs under control panel and in the programs there is no simconnect. I use ASN as well. Not sure what's going on.

Hello,

it does sound like some sort of FSX Simconnect issue. Check your default flight is a default aircraft, and here is the simconnect to run;
http://a2asimulations.com/public/downlo ... onnect.msi

Run it and then restart your system.

thanks,

Do I have to uninstall all of my FSX and reinstall for my to download simconnect? Wouldn't none of my aircraft work I if my simconnect isn't working? I've never run into this issue before. It takes me days to reinstall of my add ons.

No reinstall needed. Just run the .msi file and then restart your computer, as Lewis said. Most other add-ons are not as sophisticated as the A2A fleet, so maybe you haven't noticed anything amiss before.

All you need to do in run the SimConnect installer and then restart the PC. It will fix any corrupt SimConnect files on your machine.

This is not a re-install of FSX or any add-ons.

I did the simconnect installer and restated my system. Loaded up FSX and as I was typing in my gps info on mynHTN 750, I got a CTD. This was in the Cherokee 180

Diagnosing a CTD requires some EventViewer data.

If you go to Start->Run and type in EventViewer you should be able to launch the EventViewer Application.

Once there look for the date and time of the crash under the Application Event Logs.

Look for the FSX related crash event(s) and then copy/paste the text here. This should help to narrow down the cause instead of randomly reinstalling things.

If you have a crash, Windows will log it. Are you sure you are checking the application logs?
