Just had to "finish" a flight in the C182....cruising at 8000 feet directing to KHQM, in cloudy conditions with Temps at around -4°C (using OPUS weather engine). Suddenly, my airspeed dropped below stall speed (yes, I had switched on pitot heat , the stall warning horn screamed and I had to go in a steep decent, down to 4000 feet where I was able to catch her and airspeed went up again. Could this be structural icing effect? Manifold pressure and RPM was in the green (24/21), just airspeed (and groundspeed) dropped down.

is this effect of structural/propeller icing?

Hi,
Hard to say, I know there is one mission in FSX, where you fly the default Beech Baron 58 and have to deliver some goods. The mission is in high mountainous terrain, there after the first leg of the route, FSX simulates prop icing. You are advised to turn on prop deice system. Aircraft starts to lose power. I am not sure if this is also simulated for the free flight missions.
Happy holidays,
Will

Could have been icing but then using a third party weather program if it had injected something that normally explains a sudden change and its just one of those bugs that can sometimes happen esp if the weather updates and suddenly changes wind etc.
thanks,
