alot of smoke

Post by zachenbacher »

Hey guys,

was doing my first cross country with this wonderfull bird today from EDNY to EDDT (about 2,5 hours). After about 2 hours I recognized a trail of blue (and a little bit black) smoke behind me. Switching to the outside view I could confirm it was smoking out of both pipes.
Flying within limits (FL130; cruise settings out of the tables and leaned 50° ROP) all gauges are and were in the green. Oil 8 qts. 100AW plus Additive. After the landing there were no messages from the mechani and other hangar items to be maintained. Also the compression check was ok.

I wonder if this could have been a early sign of engine wear but I think that's unrealistic concerning the youth of the engine.

Maybe you pushed a button that fires all graphical effects like L or something similar ?

Probably you tapped 'i' by accident which turns on that smoke stream.

It does sound like you triggered the effects using the default I key in MSFS.

Thanks,
