GTN Flight 1 gauge installation

Post by jwontf »

I have just re-installed the Cessna Skylane 182. I have the Flight1 Complete software to install both the GTN 750 and 650 and the GTN tab top left of the FSX screen shows and enables me to expand the two gauges.
However I am trying to install the gauges into the VC using the 182 plane configurator. It seems to be able to install the smaller 650 but does not replace the default GPS system with the 750. The configurator seems to revert continually to default and periodically the config tool displays the error message Exception form HResult: 0xOOOOOBO with details:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

My other A2A planes are working normally with Flight1 GTN. I notice that when I access the 172 configurator, the GPS display shows the Flight1 button with a dot in it and options to choose the 750, the 650, or both. These options are not showing up in my 182 configurator

You will need to delete the updater client.wyc file in the 182 installation directory and then re-run the updater.
It can be found under ...\A2A\Cessna172\Update_fsx

Yes it does sound like your 182 isn't updated correctly, follow Oracles advice as that will force an update for you.

thanks,

Just noticed that the larger of the two gauges is labelled GTN 650 and the smaller 750.
Is this the wrong way round?

On the face of it, yes.
The 750 is a full screen affair while the 650 is a half screen iteration.
