180 and SimPlugins...

Post by sso »

Hi,

Has anybody here succeeded with using Simplugins with the A2A180 (P3Dv4)?
I have two issues:
- certain gauges do not show the same numbers as A2A VC. The RPM show 500 - 500 but when at 2000 SimPlugins only show 1500. It is not lag...

- when trying to change settings OBS, BARO, Com frq through SimPlugins - it doesn’t affect the A2A.

any help would be greatly appreciated...

/Stephen

You may need to reach out to them to have 180 specific gauges built.

Oddly, I can only find this info through a Google search. I cannot find A2A mentioned anywhere on their website if I search within their own website.

Edit: I found it under their add-ons section, but instead of text, they use images, so I was not able to Search for "A2A" to find it. They only appear to have an add-on for the 172 and no other A2A aircraft.

Thanks.

Any idea why the standard gauges do not show the same as the A2A. They simply read raw data via simConnect...
Thanks for the ref to C182.
Any thoughts on how to manipulate OBS, BARO etc. on the PA-28 from outside the sim (through external hardware or SimPlugins), and why Simplugins generic features (like OBS, BARO) dont work directly?

A2A created an external sim engine and then inputs and exports data from the sim using a set of custom variables. Cockpit builders need to reference these custom variables to get the desired results.

Thanks.

I have not found any reference to these variables in the 104 p PA28 manual, nor on the A2Awebsite, nor the pined topics in this forum.
Could you guide me to where these custom variables and access to them is documented?

Thanks in advance. :-)

I'll have to defer to someone else on this. I do not own FSUIPC or know precisely where these are listed for the 180, if anywhere.

Lewis,

Entering the variables directly in the SimPlugins P3Dv4 interface does not achieve the desired result.
I have now contacted SimPlugins to see what is possible...

Are there alternative suites to SimPlugin that does something similar, but are acredited by A2A to work with the PA-28?

Best regards

Stephen

Simplugins recently completed an add-on for the A2A Cherokee. I have it installed, it works great. Also I have had the add-on for the 172 ever since it was released, and it works great. You must have a registered copy of FSUIPC for it to work. I have FSUIPC for FSX. The current version for FSX is 4.974. Here is a link to the simplugins site, under examples my sim pit is at the end, last one on the right. https://simplugins.com/html/media.html
