I would hold on that until A2A formally announces support.

Just read that one of the fixes in 4.2 is a correction so some third party .dlls work in windows 10. Sounds like my issue. :-)

Interesting, though we have win 10 users here. Is there a way to programmatically rollback P3D upgrades?

I understand but it sounds like it may vary by installation. I'll wait for the go ahead though.

No changes for 4.2 should affect us apart from a syntax issue (Work around is a manual cfg edit to remove a backslash) with custom installs that we are in contact with Lockheed about atm.

LouP at this point utterly and totally yes. I'd recommend a clean install straight to 4.2. Hopefully it'll kick whatever is happening on your system into gear.

thanks,
Lewis

I'm sorry guys, but that didn't work either. I was sure that the upgrade to 4,2 would have fixed the problem. What could be so different about my machine compared to everyone else's?

This has to be a win 10 issue not liking this dll on my machine for some reason. I'm wondering if I got a bad download for the update. I am going to try and download the update again with a different browser this time, unless someone can send me one via email to make sure I get a good one.

Nope, that didn't work. Maybe one of the programmers can help to better understand the differences vs. the original accusim with Windows 10.

Hello,

lets re-cap what has or hasn't been tried for you and for example when running the updater are you making sure to extract the updater from the zip before running.

Though if you are losing wheel steering have you check all the control mappings?

Given no one else has reported anything even vaguely similar I am sure its going to be some stupid small thing that's being overlooked and will cause us all red faces when we get to bottom of it.

thanks,
Lewis

Hi Lewis,

Yes I'm feeling like it's something stupid, also. Yes I extract the updater from the zip before running it. I am only loosing my steering with the original install. The controls are ok because I see the pedals moving. Again, this is with the original accusim. Everything freezes and the maintenance hanger won't work after the accusim update.

Before update, maintenance hanger is ok and planes fly well, just won't steer. After update, planes are completely broken and maintenance hanger can't fix them. My assessment is that something on my system is preventing the new accusim.dll from working, but not the old one. That's why I was trying to find out what exactly changed with the new accusim. The old one works as expected (except the steering), the new one does not.

I hope I am not making it more confusing by trying to provide as much detail as possible.
