Cherokee 180 FSX Engine Start
When I started with this airplane if I placed it at a runway the engine was running. Engine stopped in flight, reason unknown, escaped and started a flight at the runway, engine was off. Haven't been able to restart it. Ran the battery down and had it recharged several times. Do I have to do the full preflight, checklist, etc., to get power back?
Dell XPS 435 MT i7, W10, 16GB, Radeon 4670, FSX Gold, A2A, Cherokee 180, Megascenery RI, CT, Private, SEL, IFR, Not current.

Re: Cherokee 180 FSX Engine Start
Hello Steve and welcome to the forums.
The most common cause for the engine stopping in flight is probably it running out of fuel! I know this is an obvious suggestion, but sometimes folks new to the A2A product line aren't aware that the shift 4 menu needs to be used for refuelling; not the usual FSX menu option. Carburettor icing is another possibility, but double-check the fuel gauges first.
It's definitely worth a check of the maintenance hangar too (shift 7). Make sure you click on the engine itself to inspect its various components.
Finally, please download and install the latest Accu-Sim update if you haven't already.
Thanks,
Nick
