Tuning the King Radio Cherokee 180

Post by piperpilot42 »

I don't know if anyone has experienced this or I'm doing something wrong however we I try to tune the COM1 & COM2 secondary frequency (the number after the dot example= .84) the frequency button pops out. I can tune the large dial ok but the second one always comes out. Is there a trick to tuning this? The NAV works ok, its just on the COM frequencies. Would appreciate your help, guys..thanks

Hi - you'll need to use the mouse scroll wheel to turn the inner knobs on the COMM radios. As you say, the left click action is used to pull the knob. (This is to switch to 25 kHz channel spacing.)

You might find that using the scroll wheel is much easier for most of the rotary controls. :)

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Nick...I'll give it a try...you would think that somewhere in that 10 minute review that A2A Sim posted there would be some mention of that...Cheers, Mike

Scrolling is part of the stock simulator functionality. A2A added more complexity to simulate exactly how the real unit is operated.
