Issue with sloped runway - LFLJ Courchevel

Post by sima2apilot »

An issue with Cherokee 180 and airport like LFLJ - Courchevel (LLH Creations scenery - LLH5 - Courchevel - http://www.llhinfo.com)
i can't take off from this altiport
once the plateform leaved and engaging on the slope runway, there's automatically a propeller issue with this aircraft and the engine stop
no issue for that with C182T, PA-24 Comanche and T6 Texan

Best Regards

Sounds like you are smashing your prop into the ground?

thanks,

Hi Lewis

you're absolutely right
and i've tried to move this aircraft with slew mode on the runway then exit slew and parking brake on
When starting the engine, the propeller get immediately damage (no matter it's on the treshold or not)
no problem with plateform location (near hangar)
no problem with PA-24 / C182T / T6-Texan nor default aircrafts in P3DV4

Seen with this high slope runway on LFLJ Courchevel (LLH5 - LLH creations - LLH Info)

Hi

is there any info on this issue ?
not on the side of the pilot
please re read carefully : seen only on this airport

this aircraft would not go succesfully on this airport with or without moving, and without fix

the best is perhaps to try it on your own to fully understand what's about

Hi Lewis

sure there's something wrong in the embedded AccuFeel module angle or distance detection
feel free to PM me to see if we can work together with the editor at no fee
i'd better like you to see the issue on your own with

for info
all is fine until around this point :

and all is going wrong at exactly this point every time :

here's a short video found of a take-off and land from and on this runway
Courchevel LFLJ

can anyone says if there's a similar US runway that i can check on it ?

Yes - the A2A Cherokee does seem strangely susceptible to prop strikes when on sloped terrain; much more so than the Cessnas and Comanche anyway. This was brought home to me when I tried using it at the (excellent and free :D) new Locher airfield scenery, as mentioned here.

Maybe something with the MDL file which could be tweaked?

Thanks,
Nick

I did the exact same thing at Locher last night. I was taxiing slowly and the engine died for no apparent reason. A quick check of the hangar showed the prop and crankshaft were destroyed.

Yes, checked at the moment on Locher Airfield
the issue is exactly the same,
starting on RW17 on the higher part of the airfield
for me i obtain differents result after many restart, but the main is the PROP broken watching in the hangar

At least the Locher/Sarentino is a free scenery downloadable on AVSIM,
if you want to take a look, and this is the same issue on LFLJ Courchevel or on those airports, altisurfaces, airfield having a slope runway
things seems a little sensitive on this aircraft measuring the slope or the ground proximity of the prop ?!
