Having some trouble with the GTN750 on the Cherokee 180 (GTN750 works perfectly on the Comanche 250!)
Repro steps:
Use the A2A Cherokee Configurator to chose the GTN750. Run the configurator as Admin.
Start FSX, select Cherokee. Authorize the load of the Flight One bits for the GTN750
Cockpit of Cherokee displays the GTN750 and FSX is Paused
Un=pause FSX
GTN750 disappears, is replaced with the stock (GPS400)
What am I doing wrong?

Hello,
what happens under your shift + 3 window, have you selected the correct GPS in the sim?
thanks,
Lewis

Re: GTN750 trouble with Cherokee 180
When I look at the Shift-F3 I don't see the GTN750 as an option. I'm about 20 hours into working on this and am about ready to take up golf or gardening or something....!
I uninstalled the Cherokee using the Uninstall feature of Control Panel/Programs then went into everywhere I could find any sign of it and manually removed what remained. Then rebooted and verified that no trace of Cherokee bits remained.
Then a new install of the Cherokee, which completed with no errors.
Now I don't even have the "Cherokee Aircraft Configurator for FSX" installed! How is it possible for an installation application to skip the installation of some of the binaries and yet still complete with NO errors?
What to try next?

Re: GTN750 trouble with Cherokee 180
Hello,
a reinstall wasn't needed and is often the worse thing to do as it totally wipes out all previous troubleshooting. Did you delete the update folder for the Cherokee too and re-apply the latest Accu-sim updater?
In a previous post you mentioned FSX being paused, have you tried this when not paused?
thanks,
Lewis

Re: GTN750 trouble with Cherokee 180
Answered my own question: run the updater. Now its all working, hooray!
Re: GTN750 trouble with Cherokee 180
Yes wiped out the update folder then re-updated it with the updater.
Still have one issue though: The GTN750 does not seem to "hear" the VHF NAV radios. Almost as if there was no antenna hooked up? Works fine following a GPS course but won't follow VHF radials since it can't hear them.
Not sure why the pause happens, I am not choosing to load an aircraft into a pause state.

Here is a screen shot, on the ground at KHQM (Orbx). Note the NAV2 receiver is tuned to 117.70 and IS receiving the signal (located at KHQM).
Note also the NAV1 receiver is also tuned to 117.70 but is NOT receiving the signal.
