V4 Problems

Post by gingerjordan97 »

Hello all.

I have been having problems with the cherokee and v4. I have been looking all over the forums but i just cant seam to find an answer.

All my symptoms point towards a simconnect error but having gone through the FAQ answer on simconnect the problem still persists

i downloaded the installer from my a2a store account and intalled it into v4, upon loading the aircraft everything is broken and in the maintanance hanger i can not fix anything cant even do complete overhall, looking on the forums people have said that this is a simconnect error but like i said i have tried running the files many times and restarted system after each time but it didnt make a diffrence.

I have tried turning of bullguard antivirus when downloading and installing the 180 and having it turned off when running the sim.
i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft but that has also not made any diffrence.
Something i did notice was that i can do the walkround but tie downs wernt tied and when i tried to tie them it appeared for a second and then disapared (dont know if that helps troubleshooting)

Any advice is much appricaiated i just want to fly my cherokee

Thanks
Jordan

Hello,

first thing to check is that you downloaded the P3Dv4 Cherokee software and have not tried to install the P3Dv2-3 software into the simulation?

thanks,

Assuming its the V4 version, the issue still sounds like simconnect.
Are you installing ALL the versions? Are you doing it with admin privileges?

FOUR versions of simconnect should exist on your system. Can you provide the version numbers?

No, only one version is needed for FSX/P3Dv3 and P3Dv4 products ship with P3Dv4 native one so no others are needed.

You may be talking about A2A products, but that does not apply to ALL addons. As the various SimConnect versions will all happily co-exist as MS core files I make it a point to recommend all the simconnects, ALL the time.
And do you want to talk our OP through which version needs to be installed? After all, they are ALL included with L-M P3d v4 for retro-compatibility purposes, even as far back as the ESP v1 version.

KISS principal says install all of them, check they are all installed.

Inside the zip file on the store right at the moment are the V3 and v4 installers in one zip file. It does sound like you have tried to install the v3 software into v4.

LouP this was resolved as the user was installing the P3Dv3 into P3Dv4 software.

This sounds so much like my problem. How can you tell which version installer you have?

Thanks,
LouP

The installers are named for the relevant platform. For example P3Dv3 installer or P3Dv4 installer.
