P3D V3 - Cherokee 180 Professional - Crash on reset
Posted: 17 Mar 2017, 09:10
So what I am seeing is that the A2A model cannot be reset, switched to if it has already been loaded, or re-loaded from a scenario where it is the selected aircraft. This cannot be expected behavior right? What am I missing that might cause this?
I was setting up some demonstration scenarios for a flight school and was trying to show how they could reset a scenario such as takeoff, or downwind in the pattern for repeated practice and the sim kept crashing. I was able to narrow it down to the A2A model. Below are the scenarios that reset/reload works and when it does not work.
I wasn't able to find/see any debug logs or entries in the event viewer, if someone can give me a path I can provide those.
If there is other information needed please let me know.
Any and all help appreciated! Thanks!
System:
Win 10
P3D V3 (fresh install)
Cherokee 180 Professional (fresh install)
Latest core update
Various sim hardware, but right now for testing this the only thing connected to the computer is a touchscreen monitor and keyboard, and the only software running is P3D.
Just to list the components:
55" 4k Monitor
21" touch screen
Brunner eCLS
Saitek trim wheel
Saitek Yoke and throttle
Saitek radio panels (2)
Saitek switch panel
CH Pedals
Keyboard and mouse
Working reset/load:
Start P3D and load original default scenario location/aircraft
Reset, or re-loading the scenario works fine every time, or with any other P3D default aircraft loaded, switched to, or saved into a scenario and loaded/reset.
How to make it crash:
Start P3D and load original default scenario location/aircraft
Change aircraft to A2A Cherokee 180 works fine
Reset scenario which returns to the F22 works fine
Change aircraft to A2A Cherokee 180 after reset and crash
Start P3D and load scenario that was saved with A2A Cherokee 180 loads fine
Reset scenario and crashes
Start P3D and load scenario that was saved with A2A Cherokee 180 loads fine
Change to default aircraft (F22) switches aircraft correctly
Change to A2A Cherokee 180 and crashes
Start P3D and load scenario that was saved with A2A Cherokee 180 loads fine
Change to a different A2A Cherokee 180 model and crashes
