trim adjustment

Post by speedy70 »

Hi
I have just reloaded the cherokee after a computer upgrade and the elevator trim is painfully slow.I remember there was a fix for this,I think in FSUIPC but I cannot remember it.

Anybody???

Chris - I'd say the simplest way to get a more responsive and consistent pitch trim rate is via the A2A input configurator. In the Cherokee, the 'constant speed trim' option was added in one of the Accu-Sim updates.

You can use the "offset sword" method in FSUIPC too; this is described in this thread. It offers the ultimate in flexibility but is arguably a bit more work to set up. You might find the parameter value of 256 suggested a bit too fast, but can reduce it as necessary to 64 or something.

There's also the Froogle video in the FAQ thread. However, this method just restores the default FSX "trim acceleration" feature which I've always felt is a bit daft.

Cheers,
Nick
