Cannot start engine

Post by fritz99 »

Hello !
I installed the plane.
When I start P3D V3.2 I can see the cockpit and turn around with the joystick of my Xbox Controller.
For control I have the standard configuration which works with other planes.
I can turn the switches with the mouse.
But :
I cannot move all rudders.
I cannot start the engine : I switch the main switch on, fuel pump on, prime, press the start button.
Nothing happens.

Very strange.
Please help.

Hi,

First of all did you run the latest updater after installing the plane? If not download here and run as administrator:

http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 16&t=41279

Also make sure the simconnect files are installed correctly as per the Troubelshooting FAQ thread:
P3D - Installed but nothing works and all is broken!?

P3DV2 sometimes wont install the required simconnect files. No worries though as they are provided by Lockheed in the following directory;
\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\redist\Interface\FSX-SP2-XPACK\retail\lib

For more information please see;

After you've done this go to the maintenance hangar (shift+7) and click complete overhaul. That should fix all problems with the plane.

Hope this helps

Thank you.
I have done the update before.
When I click your link http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingle ... pic&t=5547
it sends me to the main page and not to the specific one.
I do not understand how I can get to the maintanance hangar.
Please describe how I can get there.
Thank you.

Fritz

You should go through the trouble shooting FAQ step by step as suggested above.

shift +7 brings up the maintenance hangar. With the control lock in place, you also are unable to move the controls, so make sure to do the pre flight inspection. This is also described in the manual, also a very nice read.

Sounds like you will want to run the simconnect installer, then restart your machine.

thanks,

Yes I maybe would suggest you read the manual too as stated by Gulredrel! The A2A Accusim planes are pretty complex simulations and you will want to make sure to have everything set correctly so you can enjoy the full depth of the addons.

With shift + 7 I see the maintanance screen.

But when I press "complete overhoul" nothing happens.

That is the simconnect issue. As said above simconnect needs to be installed correctly in order for the simulation to work correctly. After this is done (instructions are in the troubleshooting thread as stated above) go back to the maintenance hangar and overhaul the aircraft.
