Thermometer wrong?

Post by streichholz »

Hi all.

Looking at the thermometer at 8000 feet shows the temerature on ground (8 C°) and not -4,30 C° at 8000. Is this suppost to be this way or should this thermometer show the temerature at the current altitute?

I'm talking about the little thermometer behind the glare shield.

The gauge behind the sun visor you mean Phil, at the top of the windscreen? No, it should show the outside air temperature (OAT) which it does correctly on mine. What's the "outside temp" displayed in the shift + 2 window?

It is also wrong. 9°C. The same like the little thermometer. It should be -4.3°C outside ad my current altitute according to Active Sky Next.

Sounds like ASN isn't connecting to the aircraft (via SimConnect?) properly. Are the outside air temperature indications correct if you fly at altitude with ASN disabled?

It must be connected, otherwise the temperature on the ground would be worng, because the thermometers show the temperature on the ground at my current position. The same happens with the default weather (clear skies).

Could you provide a bit more info on your installation Phil. For instance which sim platform are you using and do you have any other third party software installed which may be relevant? I believe that add-ons like FS Economy can disable components.

Thanks,
Nick

P.S. Also, have you run the Accu-Sim update recently?

It's just A2A Cherokee 180 + some Scenery stuff + ASN. Everything in Prepar3D V3.2

Ah could solve the problem thanks to Nick. I have to start the sim first and after this ASN. :D

Everything is fine now.
