Gtn 750 questions

I purchased the gtn 750 for my Cherokee 180, downloaded it and tried to open my sim, it would not open. When I clicked on free flight it would just close the sim. I'm not much of a computer guy...I tried several things, disabled my antivirus.. I reinstalled steam..finally I just uninstalled flight1 and everything associated with it. Everything immediately works. I know iam failing some basic step, I have several times here, lol. Any suggestions before I try and re download it.

if its a flight1 issue prior to even using the aircraft config to add it to our aircraft you might wanna have a post over at the flight1 forums, the GTN chaps are always helpful.

I would just check though that all your software is up to date? and you are using the correct version for the correct sim, so fsx version for fsx and p3d one for p3d of both the cherokee and the flight 1 GTN units.
