Cherokee start up settings

Post by Nbrian747 »

Just got PA28 performing very well except that I cannot get the 'walk round' 'fuel load' Windows to show. Using Shift 8 etc. Please can someone help me.

Do the other window pop-ups for shift-2, shift-3 etc work or all they all not popping up? I believe the two most common causes for this are a) you set your panel transparency inadvertently to 0% (fully transparent), which can be fixed in FSX options somewhere, and b) your control settings for the pop up windows was changed from the standard shift-# configuration. That also can be changed in FSX options (control settings.)

Hi and welcome to the forums.

Yep those could be the two reasons. Also make sure to run the latest updater. It can be downloaded here:

http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 24&t=41279

Just download and run as administrator. It'll automatically install the necessary files! The download from the store is always "just" the base package. The updater will not only fix some bugs but also give you some new features!

Thank you for your prompt and useful answers.
Virtually working perfectly now except that I still cannot get Windows to show.
Cannot see where pop up setting is in FSX

2-D panel transparency is under: Settings > Customize > Aircraft : Cockpit Settings (mine set to 0% btw).

For setting the Shift + (num) to the Panels: Settings > Controls > Buttons / Keys > Set the Event category to "Views", scroll down to Panel window.

Panel window 1 = Shift + 1, Panel window 2 = Shift + 2, etc...

(btw molleh, I think you meant 100% is fully transparent. )

Yes the shift + 1,2,3 etc are the default keys, if you have cleared them etc they wont work and will need remapping in FSX.

thanks,
