Flight1 GTN 750 and P3D v4

Post by matthewneale »

Hi there,

I have recently updated my gtn 750 to be V4 compatible. Successfully installed into the c182, and the Comanche 250.

However, there doesn't seem to be an "aircraft configurator" for the Cherokee. Have I missed something?

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

I wonder if it's just the shortcut which is missing. A few users seem to be reporting this with P3Dv4 installs (a recent example here) so in your case, I suggest you browse directly to the file location for the configurator itself and see if the "Cherokee180 Aircraft Configurator.exe" file is present. If you used the default path, this would be...

C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\A2A\Cherokee180\Tools

Thanks,
Nick

I presume this is about the Flight1 GTN750...? I just came back to P3D (after flying in other sims for almost a year) and bought P3D v4 last week. It seems you can upgrade the GTN750 to a version for P3D v4 (and which gives you the 750 as well as the 650) for 20 bucks and I was looking for information if that upgraded GTN is compatible with A2A planes: apparently it is? If you put this one in the Cherokee you will get all the 3D knobs etc?

BTW On various forums I read about a lot of problems with installing the GTN: you need all kind of fixes...? It this still the case? Or is everything fine as long as I download the latest installer?

I cannot get the F1 GTN to work well as an integrated vc gauge..... nightmare.

Only works as a 2D pop up.

Gonna try RXP instead and use the hacks to get it to work.

Cannot go back to the GNS series after using the GTN in FSX, but F1 seem incapable of getting it working in P3Dv4. ... or just don't care.
