Piper Cherokee 180 moves on the grounf

Post by Yarrik »

As the title say, with parking brakes on, the aircraft moves on the ground. I have P3D v4. Can you tell me how to fix that ? Thank you

There could be two reasons. One is that all aircraft slowly creep along the ground even with the parking brake on. This is a known "feature" of the sim engine. Even the default aircraft will creep along ever so slowly.

The second is that A2A does have a wear simulation on some components and that includes the brake system. Check the maintenance hangar for the condition of the brakes.

I checked but, the mantainance book says nothing wrong about brakes, so, in FSX it not happens only in P3D the aircraft moves and i tought is a P3D bug, other aicraft dont do it.

Set the parking brake, set the engine to 1000 rpm and walk away for 10 minutes. Try this with a default aircraft. When you return, you will find that the aircraft has moved quite a bit in both P3D and FSX. This issue has been there from the beginning.
