Hmmm - another option would be to insert the Acceleration DVD from your FSX Gold box. It should give you the option to 'repair' the FSX installation if I recall correctly.
Also, do you have full admin privileges for your PC? It's generally recommended to right click installers and select the "run as administrator" option when installing the Accu-Sim products and updates.
The next step would probably have to be a clean install of the Cherokee as just described to another poster.

Hi Nick I have found the problem at last, I was checking on the updates as you suggested and I found I had downloaded 3 A2A Cherokee updates don't ask me how????? but I deleted 2 of them and every things working 100 per cent also when I select the Cherokee to fly a box comes up notifying me of a simconnect which fsx is fixing
