When we bought the Comanche, there were three things that it had to have:
- 3 blade prop (questioning this decision)
- Tip tanks
- Autopilot

A long 7 hour flight down the coast, means an autopilot is a needed feature. I simply love the simplicity of the STEC-30. You can explain how to use it in just minutes. It doesn't mess with your trim, just aileron and elevator. You fly the plane, then hand it off. And it's very smooth as well.

It's also a major help for IFR flying, almost like having a co-pilot with you.

Michal (Some1) just did a bang-up job with this. I would take a flight, report back to him. He would implement, etc. etc. etc., and now we have this very cool simulation of the STEC-30.

Scott I'll take the FSX version of your plane and possibly your actual plane to if I had the money and my pilots license

3 blade is quieter but you do loss performance. 2 blades allow for more air bite and have more vibration.

Is it possible to adjust the clock? I would like to fly in UTC time format but can't set the clock for this.

Thanks a bunch for the manuals. The manuals helped me understand some of the finer points better. Thanks again!

Have the above links expired? When I click on them nothing happens, if I right click and open in new tab, I get a blank page, no error, just blank with the address in the address bar.
Is there someplace else I can download these, especially the autopilot? I'm not able to get it working properly. :(

The s-tec website seems to have problems. It only responds with an http 200 Ok, but no content.

google found this one:

Hello! I've tried setting the clock per Astro Tech's instructions, but it's got me stumped. Pressing the Mode button doesn't seem to get me into Clock mode, since pressing Set doesn't result in the month's digit beginning to flash. I think I'm missing a step, but can't figure out what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Time and date is used from FSX, so setting clock to different values won't work. Other functions should work like in the manual.

Thank you, Jens. It had to be this obvious, I guess. But something should be said here on the forums or in the owner's manual; it would save time and questions.

I LOVE the Cherokee! Thanks to all who were involved in making this wonderful aircraft. I noticed the links to the manuals for the Bendix King radio stack are no longer working, so here are other locations where they can be found.

KM 24 audio selector panel manual is here:
http://www.raac.be/download/KMA24.pdf

The manual for the KX 155 COM/NAV units,
KR 87 ADF,
KN 64 DME, and
KT 76 Transponder can be found here:
http://www.bendixking.com/HWL/media/Pil ... 0000_5.pdf
be sure to see the helpful table of content on page 3 of the pdf

cheers -
