Hello,
Thank you the beautiful warbird!
But there is a comment...
Before landig, reducing the throttle, the engine sound does not change
Any idea?
Thank you!

If You take rpm IDE and change a view - form VC to external and back to cocpit - You will hear max rpm, not IDE sound like was before ...

Re: Sound
It would be a good upgrade!
Re: Sound
can you guys explain this a bit more? so when does it happen most often etc, what the engine is set at (boost gauge or RPM), what view you where in etc etc. I flew around for a long time the other night and couldn't reproduce any issues.
As an aside, i know fsx can be a bit funny on the sounds, so turning the sound on and off (default key is q) tends to sort it out. Hardly a fix but works as a temporary solution.

I'm getting this too.stiz wrote:can you guys explain this a bit more? so when does it happen most often etc, what the engine is set at (boost gauge or RPM), what view you where in etc etc. I flew around for a long time the other night and couldn't reproduce any issues.
I'm in VC, with gear down (making an approach).
1) Set throttle to full, then jump into another view (eg. spot).
2) Go back to VC, then throttle back to idle.
3) Go to spot view.
4) Return to VC - the sound is at full revs (though the throttle is fully back and the boost indicator is -6).
5) Increase boost slowly - sound returns to normal at around -2.
I'll do a video if it helps!
Adam.

Re: Sound
That's a well known issue that I get with a number of developers' aircraft. I'm not sure whether there's a fix or not, to be honest, but I'll have a dig around and see what I can find. The usual response from developers when this issue is raised is "blip the throttle and it'll go back to normal".
Cheers,
Ian P.

Re: Sound
ok i managed to get the same issue, its an odd one and i cant think of whats causing it. I'll dig deeper. Until then, you can always reset the fsx sound by turning it off and on again (default key is q), or just dont change the views as quickly
Re: Sound
I have come across this issue as well with both freeware and payware aircraft.
Moving the throttle or turning off and on the FSX sound usually cures the problem till changing views again.
After much searching on the internet, I cannot find a definite cause.
Possibly a FSX and/or possibly a Win7 problem.

Re: Sound
The Sibwings An-2 also has sound problems (when the side window is opened) and the developer is also having trouble fixing it. Apparently, there's something weird in FSX that causes a sound to go into a loop, which then fills up some buffer or other.
Re: Sound
Sometimes switching the sound on/off by pressing the "Q" key will help. But I have experienced this issue in some planes as well.
