Hello,
when loading the C172 I see the cockpit for approx. 3 seconds. Fsim is frozen. Then crash to the desktop.
Fresh installation of P3DV4.3
Multiple Addons, especially ORBX -> When taking the default scenery.cfg the same problem
Switch to a non-default flight on startup-> same problem
Loading a default plane first the switching to C172 -> same problem
Taking the sound driver to stereo instead of 5.1 -> same problem
Aircraft reality settings to max (auto mixture=off) -> same problem
Happens with the latest update as of 18.11. as well as with the version before
I did have a same installation with P3DV4.2 before without this CTD problem.
Apart from this problem the FSim installation seems to work fine.
Rgds,
Stefan

Hello,
can you please update your P3D to the latest version 4.4 and then see how you get on.
thanks,

Thanks for the replay. Seems that you are redeemed. The version C172 prior to the latest one I now got luckily to run. I manually erased all the A2A folders and did a re-install. I also let the Prepar3D.cfg re-generate itself again. Now it loads and keeps the Sim responsive.Lewis - A2A wrote:Hello,

The new P3D V4.4 features (rain drops...?) look promising but I see myself just doing multiple re-installs over the last weeks ending up in the (successfull) investment in an SSD (installations are even much quicker now ...) and this has a growing demoralizing effect on me.
