Cessna 172 & Piper Cherokee download problems

Hello Community,

I recently bought a Omen Hp computer because my old computer will not turn on anymore. I redownloaded my A2A piper Cherokee that was on my previous computer but it has not been able to work. When you selected the Piper, and is now on the fsx homepage, it shows only the fuselage and is kind of distorted. I also rebought my old a2a Cessna 172 to see if the problem was just with the piper and it turns out the problem is with both aircraft.

it sounds like you just need to install the free service packs from Microsoft if you're using the original boxed edition of FSX. Both are needed and they can be downloaded from the links below.

After installing the two links should i reinstall the planes? FYI i have one download left on the Piper Cherokee. It just now said it cannot complete because i have fsx acceleration already setup.

It says i have the acceleration pack already and is unable to complete installation because of that.

Okay thanks Christian - if you have Acceleration, these service packs aren't required.

In this case, please can you download and run the Accu-Sim update available here if you haven't already done this.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, I suggest a 'repair' of your FSX installation via the Windows add/remove programs window.

Okay, thanks. If you go to "Windows Settings" then the "Apps and Features" page, does clicking on the FSX Acceleration entry give you the option to repair? Maybe under "modify"?

Just repair the fsx acceleration? Also I appreciate your help thus far.

Yes, it's worth a try if you have that option in the UI. If not, you could insert the Acceleration DVD to try this I think. Apologies for not being more precise, but I have FSX-SE installed and the options here are a bit different.

I keep getting "error accusim2.lua: attempt to compare nil with number" and i cant pull up anything when you click like shift 1-9 its supposed to show the maintenance hanger but doesn't show anything of the sorts. For example, when lets say I click on "kneeboard" and then click on any of the things listed, such as the checklist, the "checklist" is clear/invisible and doesn't show up.
