can't put 172 into garage for maintenance

Post by sgilmore467 »

Been awhile since flying because of a computer crash. Everything seems to be loaded OK.
However, no lights come on when I try on the current.
And I can't get into the garage to make repairs. I get a message that says the plane needs to be on the ground with the engine off. It is.
Any ideas?

Yes I hit shift 7. That is when I get the message that I can't get in the garage until I am on the ground and the engine shut off. I am already sitting dead in front of the garage. Nothing is turned on.

Try clicking that message. Maintenance hangar should open right up.

Hello sgilmore467,

Please can you give us a bit more information on your setup. For example, which sim platform are you using and are other add-ons active? With this info, we'll be better able to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Thanks,
Nick

I am running FSX Steam. I have flown the 172 before with no problems at all. When My computer crashed, I had to reinstall everything. However, I had the airplane folder on another hard drive. So after I reinstalled through STEAM, I moved the saved airplane folder back into the FSX airplane folder. So maybe that is why the A2A 172 no longer works correctly. However, all other planes in that folder work just fine. So what is wrong with the A2A C172? Thanks for any help you can give. I really miss flying it.

Good to hear, and yes you cannot just move the folders as you wont be moving all the folders just the ones you can easily see so all the external advanced programming would be missing hence the simulation not working. For IT good practice and frustration free computing always install and uninstall programs rather than try to copy files around manually.
