Few days ago I installed A2A C172 Professional in P3Dv4.1 and also in FSX. Then applied the updates.
I have flown this magic bird in FSX without issues so far.
Tried several times to fly in P3D4.1 but it always stalls right after take off. I noticed the message "Volts" on the cockpit panel that goes away after I throttle up. Tried Crtl+E to start, same stalls problem. While climbing I turn Throttle down, the Stalls stops but the bird stays on ground or bouncing around.
Any ideas?

When you say stalls, do you mean the engine shuts off? It doesn't sound like you are referring to stalling as in losing lift while in flight.

No, right after take off the plane won't climb up further and I see the message "stall" on the right down side screen.Oracle427 wrote:When you say stalls, do you mean the engine shuts off? It doesn't sound like you are referring to stalling as in losing lift while in flight.
Re: A2A C172 stalls in P3Dv4.1
What airspeed are you rotating off the ground and trying to climb at?
You should initiate the takeoff at around 55 KIAS and then climb between 60 to 70 KIAS.

Hello trisho0,
Please can you also let us know if you've installed the C172 using the new standalone installer for the Prepar3D v4 version of the product? If so, it will show version 18.4.22.0 for the C172 in the Windows "apps & features" or "uninstall or change a program" window.
Thanks,
Nick

I will check on that version tonight after work. All I did was purchased the A2A C172 Professional bundle FSX and P3Dv4 and installed for both sims.Nick - A2A wrote:Hello trisho0,

Just checked and the installer version is the same as you mentioned.

Airspeed at 55 knots the plane did take off just fine and then climb up with 60 - 70 knots. It appears the AP won't lit but it works as well.Oracle427 wrote:What about the airspeed?
The only problem is the engine won't say running after crank. It keeps cranking and cranking ...... until the Battery becomes weak and gone (lol). Other times the engine run just fine after cranking on it.
I was be able to take off and climb up thanks to your directions but the plane running after Crtl+E. I can't get the engire runing after crank even after checking from Hangar.
Any ideas?

The AP requires a .25 second depress to engage it. You must also then select the proper mode of operation as it is nothing like the relaxed realism stock autopilots. You can reference the real world manual to learn how to operate it.

The engine start procedure requires real world practice by following the steps on the checklist. Are you using the integrated checklist?

This video shows the tail end of the procedure beginning at the 45 second mark. This assumes all other preflight tasks have been completed and the fuel selector and cut off are properly set.

Does AP lit after depressed? I don't know when is activated if no light on.Oracle427 wrote:The AP requires a .25 second depress to engage it.
Re: A2A C172 stalls in P3Dv4.1
No, the buttons do not light up. You must read the display to determine the engaged modes.
The AP should display the engaged modes on the screen. By default you should see ROL for the lateral more and VS ir ALT for the vertical mode. If you see those then you have engaged the AP.
You can then proceed to engage other lateral and vertical modes with the other buttons.
Be sure to set the baro pressure on the AP whenever you set the baro on the altimeter or else the AP will not capture correct altitudes!

Magic help! thanks a punch. Oh! ... when I press APR (Approach) is doesn't display it. Is it normal? If so, how can the plane tells me when APR is armed?Oracle427 wrote:No, the buttons do not light up. You must read the display to determine the engaged modes.

I can take off the plane in P3Dv4.3 only after starting the engine with keystroke (Crtl+E). How to get the engine running from Cold and Dark. I followed the procedures and only for an unknown reasons the C172 gets running the engine as expected. From FSX all is fine.
