Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge and Cabin heat not working

Post by Corsair015 »

Its weird, it was working yesterday...

I noticed this problem at 5000ft on my way to a local strip while I was leaning the mixture for best economy.

I had done all the preflights, checked the windows were shut and the circuit breakers were in, cycled the cabin heat, but nothing to do with cabin temperature was working (It was showing a change from COLD on the pull up panel) and the EGT wasn't registering any temp at all! Once I landed I checked the hangar and the aircraft notes, and nothing was wrong.

What might be the cause of this problem?

Thanks

Hi Corsair015,

Please can you let us know which simulator you have the 172 installed to? If you're using the FSX or P3Dv3 version of the 172, please can you confirm if you've installed the latest Accu-Sim update from here?

Thanks,
Nick

Okay, thanks for the extra info. Does your default start-up flight use one of the stock FSX aircraft? Using the A2A 172 as the default aircraft may cause problems as mentioned here.

Worked a treat! Started a flight on a default FSX aircraft and switched to the A2A Cessna. Everything works fine now.

Thanks!

That's good to hear - thanks for the update. Yes, for trouble-free operation it's always a good idea to keep one of the default FSX aircraft for the default startup flight. :)
