The A2A Simulations Community

Hi,
I bought and downloaded the A2A C172 Trainer for FSX on my PC Win 10. When trying to install (C:\FSX) I get the message " You do not have access to make the required system configuration modifications. Please rerun this installation from an administrators account". I did check my windows account status and I have administrator status (I am the only user). I restarted Win 10 after reconfirming my Admin status but to no avail. I am not even sure this is an A2A issue - could anyone help me?

Hello,

the issue might be because your FSX is installed directly onto the drive and not inside any proper folders. Is there any reason why you installed directly to C rather than in the normal place?

Thanks for your quick reply! I read somewhere - I think on the PMDG website - that a dedicated FSX Directory at the root was more efficient. I had FSX installed in that manner in my former PC and it posed no problems, including some A2A aircraft.
