Why there is no DME device in Cessna 172 Skyhawk?

Post by Alex56 »

Hello. Why there is no DME device in the instrument panel of Cessna 172 Skyhawk? Instead of it there is the GNS430, which is almost decorative as in all other beautiful aircraft, made by A2A. Thanks.

I don't know what radio configuration are you using in your A2A C172, but in fact there is a DME device in the radio stack.

Open shift + 3 panel. Below the cabin vent option in the center you can change the avionics set.
Without additional GPS systems configured, you can select between the defaults FSX/P3D GPS system and without, I think. So without the GPX, you will have the DME instrument.

edit:
Just found that video here which will explain and demonstrate the options: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhvJeTNrjkc

Oh, thank you very much everyone! I read the instructions before and saw this setting, that it can be changed, but I forgot about it. :? I changed the setting to Shift +3 and now this is what I wanted.
