No Pilots after update

Post by mikequinn10 »

Hi
I just reinstalled my 172 from scratch after a motherboard fail
i downloaded the latest update which contained all the other updates for the cessna from day dot i presume,
On loading up the aircraft in fsx, i find when changing the pilot and PAX when i come to the sim i have no crew in the aircraft, also the doors wont open when i eventually do get them open they auto close again,
Any ideas why this is happening?

tweaks to FSX cfg are just basic norm
Highmem fix
widescreen aspect

Hi,

Aircraft occupants can be seen only from the outside. The doors auto close, most probably because you are parked close to a fueling station. The last is an FSX thing.
Check if you have advanced animations turned on as well for the passengers to be seen.

Hello Mike,

I'd agree with LZ-WIL, it sounds like you have advanced animations turned off in your FSX settings and for the door that sounds like the FSX bug/feature of door opening when near an in game refuelling spot.

thanks

From the official Bendix/King manual https://dealer.bendixking.com/servlet/c ... 0000_5.pdf

1. Place the unit in standby.
2. Enter the desired VFR code with the ident code pushbutton switches.
3. Depress the “VFR” pushbutton while holding the “IDT” pushbutton in its depressed position.

Note that no. 3. in the simulation requires you to press the “IDT” pushbutton and move the mouse cursor away from it while still holding down the mouse button. Only then can you release the mouse button.

Best regards,
Oliver
