Hello guys,
I encountered a very strang behavior of P3D V4.2. Upon loading the Cessna 172 the sim crashes immediately after reaching 100 %. This only happens when loading the A2A C172.
Things I've already tried:
Running P3D as admin,
installing the C172 + latest update as admin,
installing the C172 while anti virus program + Windows Firewall disabled.
Things like DirectX, Visual C++ Redistributable etc. are up to date.
However I had no success.
Moreover the Content Error Log didn't show any discrepancies, same with Win EventVwr.

I would be very greatful for a hint.

PS: I don't blame you guys from A2A for anything. Just three weeks ago on the old system everything worked well. Because of some issues, not concerning any A2A-Products, I completely reeinstalled Win + P3D etc.

Hello Steffen - welcome to the forums.

When you load the A2A 172, do you do so straight from the 'scenario' menu, or have you tried loading a default P3D aircraft first, then switching to the 172?

Also, are you loading with default scenery, or is any add-on scenery involved?

Finally, is it definitely the 64-bit P3Dv4 version of the 172 which you've installed?

Hi Nick,

I've already tried loading a default acft first, then switching over to the C172. That actually resulted in a CTD as well. Nonetheless, I noticed that the C172 worked for a second or two. Like seeing your mouse cursor moving in the cockpit. But then, freeze. No error, neither in P3Dv4.2 nor in the Win10 errorlog. And I am a 100 percent sure, I've installed the P3Dv4-Version of the A2A-Cessna.
I have several ORBX sceneries installed.

Win 10 Home x64. I'm not sure what you mean by "audio setup". Device manager - sound: NVIDIA High Def. Audio; NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) WDM; Realtek High Def. Audio.

Just to revisit one of my earlier questions, have you tried loading the 172 at a stock P3D airport (i.e. somewhere outside of your Orbx scenery areas) to see if the issue still occurs? I've noticed a higher likelihood of issues loading complex aircraft at complex Orbx airports.

yes I did. No positiv outcome. Been to Florida, no addon scenery etc. Honestly, never had problems regarding performance back in the days before reeinstalling my OS.

Win 10, 64 bit
I7 7700k 4.2 GHz
16 GB RAM

1.8 TB HDD.

Okay, thanks Steffen. Just out of interest, is this a clean installation of P3Dv4.2 or have you updated from P3Dv4.1 or v.4.0?

Okay, actually I did a similar exercise myself a few days ago. Have you made certain that all the relevant drivers (particularly audio drivers) have been reinstalled?

Before we get to that stage, could you just list any other add-ons you have installed in P3D Steffen? Anything like FSUIPC for instance?

Also, which directory did you install the A2A 172 to?
