Autopilot: no button lights?

Post by kberg »

Hi,

My Autopilot is working, but there are no light on (in the button) when I select the button. I see that the function is activated on the screen and is working. Is this normal?

Thanks

The mode is displayed on the LCD. Recommend reading the manual available from Bendix King via a Google search.

Thanks, I did look in the manual but missed the reference to the buttons. I will read more carefully. Kent

Hey no worries Kent, if in doubt we would rather you ask on our open forums here than just suffer in frustration. As well as having access to the team we have a great community here with people like Oracle who are experienced flight simmers and pilots who can help or as here point you in the right direction.

Happy simming in the virtual skies

cheers,

The KAP140 had some important considerations for operation. You must set the baro on the unit anytime you set the baro on the altimeter. You must also ensure that the alt capture is armed if you are using the VS mode unless you intend to manually capture an altitude.

These aren't unique features to RW GA autopilots, but it can catch many off guard if they are transitioning from the stock units in FSX.
