Hi,
i just installed my A2A aircrafts in P3Dv4.1 (C172, C182, Cherokee, Comanche)
i installed them on a separate drive and all runs well.
After that done i run the last accu-sim update, A2A_Update_04_13_17
here it go wrong, he will not find the 4 aircrafts i installed !
I installed to the same directory where i installed the aircrfts (for me G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A)
i see after the update that there are 3 extra directorys created
G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2AA2A
G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2AFonts
G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2AGauges
(don't now if the screenprint will arrive)
What am i doing wrong?
hope you can help me
thanks

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Hi Whisper,
Looks like the last backslash (\) has been omitted somehow during the update process, so that rather than updating a folder titled "G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\Gauges" it's created a new one called "G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2AGauges". I'm not even sure how this is possible as the installer should be smart enough to add a trailing backslash even if one isn't typed in.
However, I recommend you delete those new folders then re-run the update making sure the destination folder is: "G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A\"
One thing to note is that the 10_12_2017 update when run by P3Dv4 users won't find and add individual updates to each aircraft; instead it'll just update the shared "A2A_Accusim.dll".
Thanks,
Nick

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Nick is spot on, esp concerning the quick update for P3Dv4.1 users at the moment as its a single file or two that get a quick update for the change of units in P3D4.1 over all previous versions. Whilst we wait for your response I've just moved the thread to tech support area so it will get priority over the community areas of the forums.
thanks,
Lewis

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Yeah, something odd seems to be going on. By default, if you select a custom directory when updating P3Dv4 the installer won't add the trailing backslash, so in your case the destination folder "G:\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\A2A" should work fine.
You mention a "screenprint" above. If you have some screenshots that may help to clarify the situation, there are some tips on how to attach them here.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Thanks for the pics: 1, 2 and 3 look fine. According to a quick test I did, the lack of trailing backslash for the custom directory in pic 3 is normal and should be resolved by the installer logic. Which makes pic 4 all the more weird! I'm curious, what files (if any) are in each of the 3 highlighted folders?
Is there an "A2A_Accusim.dll" in the "A2AGauges" folder?
Cheers,
Nick

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Whisper,
Get the latest Accu-Sim Updater (I think you are using an older one) and be sure to select "P3DV4." I think this is the issue and the newest installer that supports v4 will work for you.
Scott.

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Thanks Scott - well spotted! I missed the reference to the April Accu-Sim update in the original post. I can't even blame the crazy U.S. date system in this case as there's no 13th month.

OK guys, gave it a whole new try,
uninstalled everything and reinstall
this time more lucky !!!
Everything went well
see the A2A_Accusim.dll in the Gauges folder now !
I suppose i did something wrong by selecting the installation folder, kind of mis double clicking or something like that.
thanks a lot for the support.
You make great work, love the planes you make..... don't want any other

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Okay, thank for the update Whisper - that's good news. Not sure what the issue was because from looking at your screenshots again, you used the 10_12_2017 updater in the first place. Glad to hear you're sorted in any case.

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Howdy All!
I've used Prepar3d and A2A's Cessna 172 for a couple of years. This week, I got a new machine, which meant fresh installations of Windows 10 Home ed., Prepar3d 4.1.7.22841 Academic, C172_P3Dv4_Academic, and A2A_Update_10_12_17 (AS ADMIN). While the A2A_Accusim.dll appears in the A2A/Gauges directory, the Cessna 172's rudder (and rudder pedals) do not work.
Viewing the simulated plane from behind the tail confirms all the control surfaces are working properly, EXCEPT the rudder.
I have calibrated the Yoko yoke, TQ3 quadrant, and Ruddo pedals (all new) through the Windows Game Device Calibration utility as well as Virtual Fly's calibration tool. Both confirm that the physical pedals are working just fine. The simulated toe brakes (and differential braking) work just fine. (Virtual Fly is talking through FSUIPC, I believe.)
All the other stock planes that Lockheed provides work fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled C172_P3Dv4_Academic, and A2A_Update_10_12_17 to no avail.
HELP!

Re: accu-sim update P3Dv4.1
Hi all,
I have flown the Cherokee 180 in P3D v2+3 and I wanted to update it to version 4.1. One thing that I don't understand is that the old installer doesn't make the files that you are discussing. I do have the .dll file in my gauges folder, but there's no separate folder where it makes a simobjects folder under A2A. That was said in this topic: http://shockwaveproductions.com/forum/v ... 23&t=61872. I have followed every single step, but it still doesn't work. Could you please help me because I have already lost a lot of aircraft when switching to Version 4.
Thanks in advance,
Greenfieldje

you will need to download the P3Dv4 Accu-sim Cherokee simulation software to use the Cherokee in P3Dv4.
thanks,
Lewis
