Cessna c172 GNS 400 crash Prepar3D v4

Post by philipcurwen »

Hi all, when I use the GNS 400 in the A2A Cessna C172 in Prepar3D v4 and try to select an approach Prepar3D stops responding and then crashes. It logs 2 errors in event viewer. I've completely uninstalled the plane and reinstalled and the issue comes back. I've tried default planes in Prepar3D without issue. I have ORBX Base and Ultimate terrain Canada v2. This issue just started all was working ok.

Hello,

the default P3D GPS is very simplified are you trying to do something that is not supported an requires a third party GPS simulation?

thanks,

Hi, all I'm doing is navigating to an approach selection and the sim crashes.

Hi, I've narrowed it down to one airport. CYVV. When ever I try and select an approach for this airport in the GNS400 it crashes. Selecting all other airport approaches seem ok. I do have the ORBX FTX Global NA Airport Pack and CYVV is included in there. I wonder if somethings screwed up there? I've tried default Prepar3D aircraft and none crash when selecting CYVV approaches in the GPS.

Hello,

the GPS you mention is the exact same as the default so i am not sure why one instance would crash and another not, I'd maybe look into how you load the flight.
